Privacy Policy for MindPing

Summary

MindPing is local-first. Your reminders and app settings are stored on your device. MindPing does not use push notification tokens, does not run an advertising SDK, and does not sell your personal information.

Information Stored on Your Device

MindPing may store the following information locally on your device:

• Reminder titles
• Reminder notes, if you add them
• Reminder dates and times
• Reminder categories, priorities, repeat settings, snooze state, and completion status
• App settings such as theme, quiet hours, snooze preference, and notification permission status
• Onboarding status and selected plan state

This information is used only to provide the app's reminder features.

Notifications

MindPing uses local notifications through Expo Notifications. Local notifications are scheduled on your device so reminders can alert you at the selected time.

MindPing does not collect, create, upload, or store push notification tokens. Reminder notifications are not sent through a remote push notification server.

You can enable or disable notification permission in your device settings. If notification permission is disabled, reminders may still appear in the app, but they will not alert you.

Data Sharing

MindPing does not sell your data. MindPing does not share your reminder content with advertisers or data brokers.

The current app is designed to keep reminder data on your device. If a future version adds optional account sync or cloud backup, this Privacy Policy should be updated before that feature is released.

Third-Party Services

MindPing is built with Expo and React Native. The app may use platform services from Apple, Google, or Expo to run the app and support local notifications, depending on your device and development environment.

MindPing does not intentionally send your reminder content to third-party analytics, advertising, or marketing services.

Data Deletion

You can delete your reminders from inside the app. The "Clear all reminders" option removes locally stored reminders and cancels scheduled local notifications.

You can also remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device.

Children's Privacy

MindPing is not intended for children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the app changes. When it changes, the effective date above should be updated.
